The Sandžak is a geographical and historical border region in south-western Serbia and northern Montenegro. It borders the northwest of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the southeast of Kosovo.
Bosniak National Flag Day is on 11 May, the day on which the Bosniak National Council of Sandzak (then the Muslim National Council of Sandzak) was founded in Novi Pazar in 1991 and has been traditionally celebrated since 2005.
